Percussion Ragtime Show

This concert will feature the Buffalo State Percussion Ensemble playing ragtime music specifically written for the xylophone.

Buffalo State recently acquired and restored a historic xylophone from 1919; "Deagan Wide Bar Artist's Special". This is the instrument on which this wonderful and charming body of music was intended to be played. The concert will feature guest appearances by members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Percussion Section. In collaboration with the Buffalo State Theater and Dance Department, student dancers and actors will also take the stage in period costume.

 This show is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome to attend.
