Audience Services

The Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall provides all audience services. The audience services manager and staff will set-up and tear-down the lobby, collect tickets, seat patrons, provide crowd control, keep the facilities clean and stocked, and assist patrons should they have any difficulties during a performance. Required for all events, the audience services manager is on site 90 minutes prior to any event; they are the last person to leave the theater after a performance.

To ensure the health and safety of the audience, we require ushering staff for all events. Ushers are supplied at an additional cost; however, with prior arrangements, you may be permitted to supply some of your own volunteer ushers. Upon booking the facility, the director of operations will discuss your audience services needs to determine the number of ushers necessary. The Center reserves the right to determine the number and types of personnel required for the proper staffing of any event.

All Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall facilities are fully accessible. Special seating locations are available for wheelchairs and assisted-listening devices are available for the hearing impaired. With prior arrangement, we can provide an escort from buses or parking lots for those requiring assistance. Please contact the audience services manager via phone at (716) 878-3600 or by email at pustelda@bscmail.buffalostate.edu if you require special services.
